Feeling the pressure to quit smoking?
Is March 10th all it takes to quit smoking? 10 Motives think not.

ALTRINCHAM, ENGLAND, March 07, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- With National No Smoking Day looming once again, Smokers in the UK are feeling the pressure to miraculously stop smoking and kick their bad habit. As per the previous 26 years there are wild claims that people in their millions will take the plunge and break free from nicotine on Wednesday 10th March. But is this a realistic expectation? Whilst the thought of everyone coming together on a designated day to achieve the same goal is perhaps inspiring enough to make you start your quest to quit tobacco, is it enough to see it through to the end?

To give smokers a fighting chance of completing the tedious journey to a totally tobacco-free existence 10 Motives electronic cigarettes are the perfect way to make a start. Although not proven to be a smoking cessation device, this nifty little gadget means that you can make small changes and gradually reduce your reliance on regular cigarettes by using these healthier alternatives instead.

For those who've missed its rise to prominence, the e-cigarette is quite simply a battery-powered device that provides inhaled doses of nicotine from something that bears more than a passing resemblance to the white stick. In addition to satisfying nicotine cravings, the vapour provides a flavour and physical sensation similar to that of inhaled tobacco smoke. So for those that are not only addicted to the nicotine itself but also the ritual, this is a perfect way to satisfy that need.

Because no tobacco, smoke, or combustion is actually involved in its operation, the e-cigarette is 100% legal to 'smoke' anywhere. Handy if you're one of the millions banished to outdoor smoking areas and being made to feel like a social outcast for having an addiction to nicotine.

10 Motives Director, Tony Jones comments, "It can be so hard trying to quit smoking with loads of people failing every year under the enormous social pressure to go cold turkey as of National No Smoking Day. People all too easily beat themselves up if they fall off the wagon. We understand that this is par for the course and encourage people to get realistic and take pride in the fact that every time they choose to use an electronic cigarette instead of a regular one, they are making a positive impact on their health."

So, what are you waiting for? If you've tried, tested and failed to be impressed with other means of satisfying your nicotine cravings, give 10 Motives a try.

10 Motives electronic cigarettes are now available over the counter or from vending machines in a number of public establishments throughout the UK. Visit www.10motives.com for more details.
